We are proud to be hosting the 2011 West Coast Unvitational here in Vancouver, BC. This will be our inaugural event, taking the place of the now retired Westside Invite hosted in Portland, OR. It will be held on the traditional date of Memorial Day weekend, May 27-30, 2011. We expect bicycle messengers and bicycle enthusiasts from across the U.S. and Canada to attend.
The event it will be replacing has been fundamental in the messenger community for over a decade, providing bike messenger kin from across the continent a magical opportunity to reunite. Year after year we come back together to share and show off our most unique skills in racing, track events, beer drinking, love, and companionship.
We would also like to begin the tradition of passing the event on to other cities yearly. The West Coast Unvitational will continue to be the most important west coast event for bike messengers, you will have the opportunity to showcase your city and your event. The decision will be made at a forum breakfast on the sunday morning of the event.
